Each year, we honor the achievements made by educators.
Journey to Acknowledgement
The Age of Learning Educator of the Year Award honors an educational leader devoted to a mission of guiding students to success. Selections will be made based on a candidate’s notable and exceptional commitment to making a positive impact on student learning and well-being; use of ABCmouse, My Math Academy, My Reading Academy, and/or My Reading Academy Español; use of student-centered, innovative approaches to teaching and learning; and demonstrate leadership within and beyond the classroom.
Nomination Process
Round 1:
Due March 31st, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. ET
Round 2 (Semifinalist):
April 2025
Based on the initial application, a set of 8-12 applicants will be asked to submit a personal video and/or endorsement form/testimonial from their principal or district leader.
Round 3 (Finalist):
June 2025
4-6 semifinalists will participate in phone/video interviews (15-20mins).
Winner Announcement:
August 2025
The 2025 Educator of the Year winner will receive:
- 3-day registration and associated travel costs to the Age of Learning Leadership Forum in Glendale, California
- Honorary Age of Learning Ambassadorship
- Opportunity to attend and participate in a educational conference of their choice in 2026
- Classroom swag for your students!
The Age of Learning Educator of the Year is someone who:
- Consistently meets students where they are and helps them grow academically as individuals.
- Centers equity in their practice.
- Builds strong relationships with students, families, and the larger school and district community.
- Has ideas about great teaching, is innovative, feels strongly about what it looks like to provide high-quality instruction, and is eager to work with and learn from a diverse group of stakeholders to make our education system better.

The Age of Learning Educator of the Year award is a tribute to Age of Learning Founder, Doug Dohring, and his years of unwavering dedication to helping children everywhere build a strong foundation for academic success and a lifelong love of learning.
