Alex Galvagni

Chief Executive Officer

Alex Galvagni, a mission-driven leader committed to bringing evidence-based EdTech programs to early learners, brings over three decades of experience to Age of Learning. Alex became CEO in September 2023, after serving as the company’s Chief Product Officer for the previous seven years during which time he helped create Age of Learning’s immersive, personalized, and flexible programs.

Alex’s knowledge of technologies, commitment to innovation, and operational excellence continue to help shape the company’s programs, making learning more accessible, engaging, and effective for students worldwide. 

Prior to Age to Learning, Alex held senior leadership positions in the gaming, entertainment, tech, and mobile spaces. As head of Turbine, a pioneer in massively multiplayer online games, he spearheaded the transition into mobile gaming. An early team member at Glu Mobile, Alex oversaw product development and helped lead the company to IPO. 

Alex began his career at NASA’s Ames Research Center, where he spent four years researching robotics and AI. He has a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Santa Clara University.

Sky Dayton

Sky has a long history as a successful entrepreneur in the internet industry; he has founded, cofounded, and helped build companies with a combined market value of more than $20 billion. Best known for founding the internet service provider EarthLink in 1994, Sky also founded Boingo Wireless, and cofounded eCompanies, Business.com, CloudKitchens, and several other companies. 

Sky was an investor and active board member at NeoPets, leading up to its sale to Viacom in 2005. He has been an investor and board member at Age of Learning since 2013. As Chairman, he works closely with our management team to help guide our growth.

Marc Mezvinsky

Marc is a Partner at TPG based in New York, where he focuses on climate and technology investment opportunities. Marc serves on the board of the following TPG investments: Anew Climate, Form Energy, Monarch Bioenergy, and Age of Learning.

Prior to joining TPG, Marc was Vice Chairman at Social Capital and a senior partner at 3G Capital. Marc currently serves on the Board of the Pembroke College Foundation and the Ann Romney Center for Neurologic Diseases. Marc received his undergraduate degree in Religious Studies and Philosophy from Stanford University, and an M.A. in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Pembroke College at the University of Oxford.

Mariano Payano

Mariano Payano is a Principal at ICONIQ Growth. He re-joined ICONIQ Growth in 2022 after completing his M.B.A. Mariano has helped lead ICONIQ Growth’s investments in Netskope, Twistlock, Virtru, Highspot, Dialpad, Guild Education, BambooHR, Pinecone, and others. Prior to joining ICONIQ Growth, he worked in investment banking at Morgan Stanley as part of the Technology Group. Mariano received an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in Operations Research and Engineering Management Systems from Columbia University.
